Huawei announces 7.2 -inch Mate 20 X

By Jon Porter, The Verge

At the end of an event that had already seen it announce two devices, the Huawei Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro, Huawei had a surprise up its sleeve. The Huawei Mate 20 X is the largest in the lineup with its 7.2-inch OLED display, which already consists of three phablet devices. The device is equipped with a massive 5,000 mAh battery, and is compatible with styluses.

Huawei was keen to emphasis the device’s gaming performance, with a vapor chamber cooling design combined with “graphene film cooling technology” that the company claims will keep its Kirin 980 SoC cool even under heavy loads. Sound is handled with a dual speaker, and Huawei is also producing a gamepad that attaches to the left hand side of the device complete with an analogue stick and a D-pad.
